Where I’ve Studied

I believe in life-long learning. These are the formal and informal institutions where I have studied as well as highlights from my education experiences. 

Education

  • Walton High School 
    • Reflections on a New, Old High School: In 2017, I returned to my high school after a $48M dollar renovation. I reflected on it in with an op-ed in The Atlanta Journal Constitution.
  • Cornell University
    • Student Leadership: My senior honors thesis studied the role of NGOs in Democracy promotion abroad. As a student, I served as a Resident Advisor in Clara Dickson Hall, Student Assistant in Alice Cook House, the Arts and Sciences Representative on the Student Assembly and Research Assistant to Professor Chris Way. I was also active in Hillel and worked for Rabbi Ed Rosenthal as a Student Intern where I organized the University’s first public tribute to Leo Frank, Class of 1906.
    • One Year Out: I wrote about life after college in a column published by the student newspaper, The Cornell Daily Sun. I also authored a special feature in the Cornell Alumni Magazine.
  • New York University 
    • Certificate in Fundraising: I studied the art and science of fundraising in an intensive program to learn how to design an annual campaign, recruit board members and ask for donations.

Organizations

  • Exploration Summer Programs
    • Student and Instructor: As a high school student, I attended this enrichment focused summer program. As a college student, I returned to teach classes on Constitutional Law, the United Nations, Journalism and Jewelry Making.
  • Brooklyn Brainery
    • Instructor: I developed curriculums and taught classes in fundraising, podcasting and how to talk to strangers.
  • Orbital 
    • Student: I attended this studio for building networks and launching side projects in New York City.
  • IDEO U
    • Student: I completed a Certificate in Storytelling for Influence and learned techniques about weaving content into projects in creative ways.
